The Vermeer Interragator EZ GPR System is a ground penetrating radar designed to detect all types of buried pipes (metallic and nonmetallic) prior to or during a directional drilling, trenching, or excavation project. When used in conjunction with conventional locating and vacuum excavation methods, a clearer picture of the subsurface may be achieved in order to avoid potential accidents. The Interragator EZ can assist in detecting buried targets to depths of 20 ft below the surface depending on soil conditions. GPR data is displayed in real-time during a survey and the backup cursor feature allows immediate and accurate utility marking. The GPR system is lightweight, compact, and can be setup and ready for use in just a few minutes.
The Vermeer Interragator EZ GPR System includes a 4-wheel deployment cart with wheel encoder, 400 MHz antenna, adjustable handle, control unit, 6 ft data control cable, 2 10.8 volt Li-ion batteries, AC adapter, battery charger, operator manual, and carrying case. The Interragator EZ Control Unit has a 32-bit Intel processor, 8.4" active matrix, sunlight readable, color LCD display, and 512 MB flash memory. The operating system is Windows CE. The custom Vermeer Interragator EZ software is designed to be easy-to-use and incorporates default parameter settings to simplify startup. Data collection can be either continuous mode or survey wheel mode. System scan rate is 100 scans/sec with 512 samples/scan. The operator may select 5 different depth ranges, several display color scales, and data gain and filter settings. A depth calibration routine is available to provide better estimates of the soil dielectric value, thus providing better target depth estimates. Data may be transferred from the control unit via a USB memory device. The batteries should provide 2 hours of continuous operating time.
